Day 27: Supreme Over All
A very influential leader once told me that it is always better ere on the side of giving God too much credit than to credit something to chance or circumstance that might actually be the work of God. God is in the little things. God is in the ordinary, day-to-day, and mundane events as much, if not more than, in the extraordinary, life-changing, exciting events. We may not see him as vividly in the little things as we do in the big, but once we change our perspective from how immense is my God to how constant is my God, we suddenly find that God is consistently involved in everything we do. He is there in places that otherwise seem completely ordinary, such as a conversation with a friend or a lecture you hear or a chore you have to take care of today.
As Christians, we have the privilege of loving and serving a God who speaks directly to us, but there are times when he is silent. This silence is not a punishment; it is a way to challenge us and help us grow as an individual and as a Christ-follower. It is easy to see God when he is healing people or providing funds or growing his kingdom, but it can be very difficult to find him in the day-to-day activities of life. Once you begin to ask yourself, how constant is my God?, it becomes difficult not to see him everywhere you turn. He is, after all, supreme over all things, so finding Him where all things are should become second nature.

Question to Consider
Where have I given credit to chance when it was actually the work of God in my life?
Prayer
Jesus, I thank you today for your many blessings. I pray that you would continually open my eyes to your presence and consistency in my life. Help me see that you ARE in every circumstance. Amen.
